Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Comsync for using our Mac app and this website. Please read them. By using Comsync, you agree to them.
01Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Comsync application or the website at note.comsync.in (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Service is provided by Chaitoj Conversync Private Limited (“Comsync”, “we”, “us”, “our”). If you are using Comsync on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02Description of the service
Comsync is a macOS application that records your meetings locally on your Mac, transcribes both sides of the conversation, and generates AI notes, follow-up email drafts, and answers you can chat with. It can connect to your Google account to read your upcoming meetings (read-only) so recordings match the right meeting and attendees. The Service depends on third-party providers for transcription, AI, and hosting (see Third-party services). We may add, change, or remove features over time.
03Your account
- You sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use and for all activity under your Comsync account.
- You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- Notify us promptly at ojasjain@comsync.in if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to record any person or meeting without the consent required by the laws that apply to you (see Recording & consent).
- Break the law, infringe others' rights, or violate anyone's privacy using the Service.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with the Service's security or integrity.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the Service, or use it to build a competing product from our confidential information.
- Exceed applicable usage or rate limits, or use automated means to place undue load on the Service.
05Recording & consent
Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required from other participants before recording a meeting. Comsync provides the tool; you are responsible for using it lawfully.
06Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties, including Google (sign-in and calendar) and third-party providers for speech-to-text transcription, AI processing, and cloud hosting (located in India). Your use of Google features is also subject to Google's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services' own acts, availability, or terms, though we choose providers carefully and pass them only the data needed to deliver a feature, as described in our Privacy Policy.
07Your content & intellectual property
Your meetings, transcripts, notes, and chats are yours. You grant Comsync a limited licence to process this content only to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to transcribe audio, generate notes, and store your data across devices). We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. Comsync and its software, branding, and website remain our property.
08Privacy
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you also agree to that policy.
09Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. AI-generated notes, summaries, and drafts may contain errors and transcription may be imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or sending it. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Comsync and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or ₹5,000 (INR five thousand).
11Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing ojasjain@comsync.in. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you end; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will survive.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
